Cuenca voted Best Adventure Hub in 2014

Cuenca was voted Best Adventure Hub this month by Outside Magazine in their 2014 Travel Awards. The winners are nominated by a network of correspondents located across the world and the editors choose their definitive picks from the selection.

In an interview on CBS This Morning: Saturday executive editor of Outside Magazine Michael Roberts stated: “What an amazing country. Although it’s only about the size of Colorado, it packs in so much: volcanos, glaciers, high altitude peaks, Amazon rainforest, cloud forest, there’s a coast for surfing and the little town of Cuenca, this quaint colonial town about 8500 feet in the Andes, you can do just about all of it from there including Cochitambo with world class rock climbing, a national park nearby for hiking and the list keeps going”.
